WELCOME TO TERM 3, 2014 – NEWSLETTER
We hope that you all enjoyed term 2 and the busy holiday workshops with us. We are delighted to have had so many new faces joining our familiar ones too.

Term 3 after school classes
We will be diving into term 3 with silk screen printing, surreal skylines, our artist study will be Miro (Sculptures) and we will be continuing our drawing studies.
Classes will commence in Pukekohe for the term 3 on Monday 28th July the 2nd week of term as usual. If you would like to reserve a place for your child please email as soon as possible.
If your child was registered last term they will be automatically re-registered for this term. Please let us know ASAP if they do not require their place this term.
After school Art class details:-
- Monday and Wednesday groups (6 years +) 3.30pm – 4.30pm
- Tuesday group (9 years +) 3.30 – 4.30pm
We only have a couple of places available for these classes at present. Please contact Anna on 09 238 1939 / mob. 0297 712 923 to register for this class, places are limited.
If you are interested in after school classes in any other areas please contact us to see what arrangements can be made.
Clay course or Home school classes
If you are interested in a clay course or in arranging classes for home school students please contact us to discuss options further.
Students Exhibition dates
We have the dates set for our Young at Art 2014 exhibition from 10th October through to 22nd October. Opening night for our student family and friends will be on Thursday 9th October. This exhibition is open to all Young at Art students (old and new) who have produced work with us in the last year in after school, home school or holiday’s workshops. We will email more exhibition information in September. Please could you keep your children’s artwork stored safely in the meantime.
Arty Parties, Face Painting & Entertainment
Don’t forget we also offer ‘Arty Party’s’, face painting, fairy, glam or gore parties, balloon twisting & other entertainment through Magical Masquerade Professional Face Painting (our sister company). www.magicalmasquerade.co.nz.
Cathy Davies – Exhibition
The very talented Cathy Davies, who is an amazing local artist, will be holding an exhibition of her own work. We would love to see you at this opening!
Recycling
We love to recycle at Young At Art! We are currently on the lookout for metal coat hangers for our sculpture project but always love to receive anything exciting to set us off on a creative challenge.
